The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) of St. Kitts & Nevis is seeking a highly motivated and skilled legal professional to fill the position of Crown Counsel I. Responsibilities and Duties:

Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university, along with a Legal Education Certificate or equivalent qualification. A demonstrable specialization in intellectual property law, evidenced through postgraduate studies, specialized training, or significant practical experience in the field, is highly desirable. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of international IP treaties and conventions, including the TRIPS Agreement, the Berne Convention, and the Paris Convention. Strong legal research and analytical skills, coupled with excellent written and oral communication abilities, are essential. Experience in drafting legislation and regulations is a distinct advantage. Furthermore, candidates should be proficient in legal research databases and software.
