Fatal Incident on White Gate Road Under Police Investigation
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) is currently investigating a fatal single-vehicle accident that occurred on the morning of March 22, 2025, claiming the life of an 18-year-old woman and leaving eight others injured. The accident transpired in the White Gate area, a locale situated between the towns of Dieppe Bay and St. Paul’s on the island of St. Kitts. The incident unfolded sometime between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM, casting a somber pall over the early morning hours. The vehicle involved, described as a motor van, was reportedly traveling westbound from St. Paul’s towards Dieppe Bay when the driver lost control, veering off the road and colliding with a tree. The impact caused the van to overturn, resulting in significant injuries to all occupants.
Upon arrival at the scene, police officers encountered a chaotic and distressing scene. All nine individuals within the overturned motor van had sustained visible injuries, ranging in severity. Eight of the occupants, including the driver, were immediately transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital for medical attention. Tragically, one passenger, identified as 18-year-old Shanice Harvey from Dieppe Bay, succumbed to her injuries at the scene and was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
