Five Soldiers Recognized for Excellence at SKNDF Annual Christmas Luncheon and Commissioning Ceremony

The St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) celebrated its Annual Christmas Luncheon on December 20, 2024, marking the occasion with the commissioning of five officers and the recognition of outstanding soldiers. Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew, presided over the ceremony, personally bestowing the badges of rank upon the newly commissioned officers. This momentous event underscored the SKNDF’s commitment to developing its personnel and recognizing their dedication to national security. The promotions signify not just individual achievement, but the collective strength and growth of the Defence Force as a whole.

The commissioning ceremony saw Second Lieutenants Lakeem Crosse, Mario O’Flerharty, Jelani Griffin, and Jon-Lewin Watson formally inducted into their new roles, solidifying their leadership positions within the SKNDF. Simultaneously, First Lieutenant Percival Thomas received his promotion, marking a significant step forward in his military career. Prime Minister Drew and Acting Force Commander, Major Kayode Sutton, commended the officers for their hard work, discipline, and unwavering commitment to serving the people of St. Kitts and Nevis.
