Human Resources Coordinator Position – Citizenship by Investment Unit

The St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Unit (SKNCIU) is seeking a highly organized and results-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to support the daily operations of its HR department. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, from recruitment and benefits administration to employee relations and training development. Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of HR best practices, a proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, and a commitment to fostering a positive and productive work environment.

The HR Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the SKNCIU’s human resources operations. Key duties include assisting with the recruitment process, preparing and reviewing compensation and benefits packages, maintaining accurate employee records, and overseeing payroll processing. The position also involves managing various HR activities such as job design, employee relations, performance management, and talent development. Collaboration with the senior HR team is essential for developing and coordinating training programs and revising HR documents.

Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and regulations is paramount for this role. The HR Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant legal requirements and staying informed about emerging trends and technologies in HR management. The ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality is also critical. The successful candidate will be entrusted with maintaining the confidentiality of employee records and other sensitive HR data.

Beyond the core responsibilities, the HR Coordinator will also be involved in special projects within the HR department and other duties as assigned within the SKNCIU. The ideal candidate for this position possesses a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HR Coordinator or Officer, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with staff at all levels within the unit. The candidate should be people-oriented and results-driven, with a demonstrable ability to nurture a positive working environment.

Proficiency in MS Office applications is mandatory, and the candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient. A willingness to adjust work hours to accommodate after-hours or weekend programs and events is also required. The successful candidate must possess a high level of discretion and maintain confidentiality in all matters related to the HR department and the SKNCIU.
