Information Officer Position Available – St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS)
The St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Information Officer to join their team. This requires an understanding of digital communication strategies and the ability to adapt content for different online platforms. The role also extends to assisting with the production of documentaries and other public education materials, contributing to broader public awareness campaigns on key government initiatives and national developments. The ideal candidate must be adaptable, demonstrating proficiency in both traditional and digital media landscapes.
The position demands a strong academic background and proven communication skills. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, Public Relations, or a related field, demonstrating a solid foundation in communication principles and practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are paramount, enabling the candidate to effectively convey complex information in a clear, concise, and engaging manner. Prior experience in media, public communication, or information dissemination is a significant asset, showcasing practical application of these essential skills. The St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service offers a competitive salary scale of K33 – K38 ($64,087 – $82,115) per annum, commensurate with the demands and responsibilities of the position.
