They will provide counsel to the Board of Directors, the CEO/Director, management, and various departments within the SSB. This includes advising on proposed contracts, commercial transactions, and the development of related legal documentation. The SSB seeks an individual with a robust legal background and a strong understanding of legal principles, practices, and proceedings. Applicants must be qualified Attorneys-at-Law, holding a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Legal Education Certificate from a recognized regional law school. In addition to these academic qualifications, candidates should possess a minimum of two years of post-bar experience practicing law within the Federation of St. Christopher and Nevis or the broader Caribbean region. Practical experience in litigation and legal research is essential, as is a strong understanding of the legal principles associated with public law decision-making.

Beyond technical legal expertise, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a range of essential skills and abilities. They should possess a working knowledge of legislative interpretation, including the ability to analyze and interpret laws, rules, and agreements.
