Minister Phillip Commends Robust Volunteer Efforts During Service Disruption

The Day of Interruption, a nationwide student intervention initiative against crime and violence, took place on February 26, 2025, in St. Kitts. Organized by the Citizen Security Secretariat, the event witnessed a remarkable display of volunteerism from a diverse cross-section of society, including senior government officials, influential figures, community leaders, and numerous other participants. Isalean Phillip, along with members of the police high command, political party executives, reformed and former prison inmates, religious leaders, entertainers, athletes, and community leaders. These individuals visited public and private primary and secondary schools across St. Kitts, engaging with students during special assemblies. They delivered positive messages, encouraging students to reject negative influences such as bullying, peer pressure, and involvement in crime and violence.

Minister of State Phillip, who co-chairs the Citizen Security Task Force, expressed her appreciation for the overwhelming support received from volunteers during the National Assembly sitting on February 27, 2025. She emphasized the importance of shared responsibility in creating a safe and peaceful environment, highlighting that the government alone cannot achieve this goal.
