Donation Drive: Empowering Mothers through Community Support

In commemoration of World Breastfeeding Protection Day, the Breastfeeding Committee of St. Kitts and Nevis is organizing a donation drive to collect essential items for breastfeeding mothers. The drive aims to address the financial barriers that some mothers face in accessing breastfeeding supplies and to demonstrate community support for breastfeeding families. The Committee is accepting donations of new and gently used breast pumps, milk storage bags, nursing pads, nursing pillows, and breast shields, among other items. These donations will be distributed to mothers in need, empowering them to continue their breastfeeding journey with confidence and ease.

Donation Drop-off Locations and Duration

Donations can be dropped off at various locations across St. Kitts and Nevis, including the Alexandra Hospital’s Maternity Unit, the Nevis Health Promotion Unit, all Health Centres on Nevis and in St. Kitts, the Ministry of Health’s Main Administration Building, the JNF General Hospital’s Maternity Ward, and the Pogson Medical Centre. The donation drive will run from Sunday, May 25th to Thursday, August 28th, 2025, providing ample time for community members to contribute. Every donation, regardless of size, will make a difference in the lives of breastfeeding mothers and their babies. By supporting this initiative, the community of St. Kitts and Nevis reaffirms its commitment to protecting, promoting, and supporting breastfeeding, ensuring that all mothers have the resources they need to nourish their children and thrive.
