Nevis Club Run Series Launched by Department of Sports
The inaugural Nevis Club Run Series, launched on September 20, 2025, marked a significant stride towards promoting athleticism and community well-being on the island. Sponsored by Sol and Reliable Motors Ltd., the event unfolded along Nevis’ main road, starting from Cotton Ground and culminating at the Reliable Motors location in Charlestown. The race attracted a diverse and enthusiastic array of participants, including established running clubs, sporting teams, and individual athletes, all united by a shared passion for fitness and competition. The Nevis Club Run Series serves a dual purpose: firstly, to enhance the fitness and endurance levels of athletes across various sporting disciplines, recognizing the importance of a strong foundation in physical conditioning for optimal performance. In the Club Division, Immortals Track Club secured the top spot, followed by Over the Top Track Club in second place and A-1 Titans Athletics Club in third. The Open Male category saw Shandon Burton claiming first place, followed by Najeeb Kelly and Trevon Hanley. Astra Simon emerged victorious in the Open Female category, with Vanessa Williams and Rihanna Moreno securing the second and third positions respectively. The Primary School Division highlighted the promising talent of younger athletes, with Roxanna Labrada-Gil, Zaniah McKoy, and Sanaiyah Liburd leading the female category, while Ranveer Singh, Te’adrian Tross, and K’shard Burton dominated the male category.
