SKCA Appoints New Executive
The St. Kitts Cricket Association (SKCA) held its biennial elections on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the St. Kitts Marriott, marking a significant moment for the future of cricket administration on the island. The evening culminated in the election of a new executive board, tasked with steering the organization for the next two years. Dennis Phillip retained his presidency, securing a renewed mandate with a vote of 76, a testament to his leadership and the confidence placed in him by the association’s members. The election process, conducted democratically, underlined the SKCA’s commitment to transparent governance and member participation. The results reflected a blend of continuity and change, with some incumbents retaining their positions and new faces joining the leadership ranks.
Austin Williams, representing Team Val, secured the Vice Presidency with a strong showing of 83 votes. The election of Andrea Liddie as Secretary, with a comfortable 78 votes, ensures the continuation of her administrative expertise within the SKCA. Ricky Scarborough, also from Team Val, secured a substantial 86 votes, further solidifying the group’s presence within the broader leadership structure. Loshaun Dixon, another Team Val representative, received 81 votes, adding to the team’s significant representation among the elected members.
Gary Rogers, an incumbent, retained his position as a Member of Management with 80 votes, demonstrating the value of his experience and the trust placed in him by the SKCA’s membership. Ganesh Algu, securing 78 votes, adds fresh perspective and expertise to the management team. Finally, Lindbergh Belle, representing Team Val, received 76 votes, completing the six-member management team and further strengthening Team Val’s overall influence within the SKCA.
