On May 28th, 2025, the 12th annual Sonia Boddie Promising Youth Leader Scholarship was awarded to two deserving Grade six students, Princess Richards and Nikolas Carey, marking another chapter in Boddie-Thompson’s ongoing commitment to fostering educational opportunities for the youth of her hometown.

This year’s scholarship recipients are the first to benefit from an increased financial award of $600 Eastern Caribbean Dollars, a boost from the previous $500.
